COMMUNITY DRUMMING CIRCLE
"When our hands connect with a drum that vibrates with our energy, vitality, emotion, exhilaration, hope, sensitivity, giving, sharing and unity we become whole again." Barry Bittman
Community Drumming Circle is a monthly open workshop for anyone wanting to join together in circle and drum! Using rhythm to connect with others, the universe, our bodies and our soul. To dance and play to the rhythm of our hearts. To drum with intention for the benefit of all.
ALL are welcome including children with an adult. You do not need to attend every circle as it will be an intuitive and organic process every session. No experience necessary, we will not be reading music.
There will be a few drums and hand held percussion instruments available but it is advised that you purchase and bring your own drum to ensure you have something to play and to develop a relationship with your instrument. I recommend a djembe or frame drum.
Community drumming circle is run by Jenny Wilde Knight. Jenny is a professional musician and qualified music teacher with over 15 years experience of teaching, conducting and leading music workshops. Jenny is also an energy worker, intuitive healer, creative arts therapist, Innerdance and Awakened Bellydance facilitator with a certificate in counselling skills. She holds a very safe, warm, nurturing, welcoming and joyful space.
